Wizkid Unveils Sixth Studio Album, Morayo

Nigerian music icon Wizkid has dropped his much-anticipated sixth studio album, Morayo, via Starboy/Sony Music International/RCA Records. The album, named after the Yoruba phrase meaning "I see joy," serves as a heartfelt tribute to his late mother.

Morayo arrives with plenty of momentum. Lead singles “Piece of My Heart,” featuring Brent Faiyaz, and “Kese (Dance)” smashed Nigerian Spotify streaming records upon release. The visuals for "Piece of My Heart" and the track itself have already become fan favorites.

Adding to the buzz, Wizkid recently performed at the BOF 500 Gala and made headlines during Paris Fashion Week, where he attended Chanel’s runway show alongside Brent Faiyaz. Fans also got an early taste of the album at an intimate “Ladies First” listening party in London.

The release caps off a monumental stretch for Wizkid. Most recently, he snagged a 2025 Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance for “MMS,” his collaboration with Asake. Last year’s More Love, Less Ego brought him milestones like a Madison Square Garden headlining debut and a widely celebrated Apple Music Live session.

Wizkid’s career-defining achievements are far-reaching. From his 2020 Grammy-nominated Made in Lagos—home to the global sensation “Essence” featuring Tems and Justin Bieber—to collaborations with artists like Chris Brown and Ayra Starr, his influence continues to expand.

With Morayo, Wizkid adds yet another chapter to a legacy that shows no signs of slowing down.
