Can you tell us about your personal background?

So I was born in a small town in Lithuania, with four sisters and three brothers. There was not much around apart from farms & villages.

What led to you entering the modelling industry?

Well I have actually been scouted numerous times in London when I first came here about ten years ago. I remember talking to my brother who reminded me that when I was young and people would say that I should be a model. It was never something that I saw myself doing, but a lot of other people seemed to think it was the right thing for me to do.

How would you describe your personal style?

I love things slightly baggy and oversized. I like to be comfortable. If I go out, I would opt to wear a nice suit for a classier look.

Have you ever been given any good advice about modelling?

Yeah I have heard a lot. I have been modelling professionally for over five years now. One of the earliest things I was told was that everything takes time and there is a beauty in patience. Also, I learnt to not take anything too personally.

Can you share a modelling project that has been especially impactful for you?

I genuinely feel that every thing that I have done has been impactful for me. Every time I am on set, I am learning something new, being introduced to a brand and working with a new team. I watch the way that photographers, stylists etc work on set and really try and learn from what I see them doing.

What do you find most challenging about being a model?

Financially for sure. If you don’t get booked and are not working, it can be a real struggle. Like anyone else, we have rent to pay and need to live our lives. It is totally normal to have one month when you do really well and work a lot and then the next month you can be broke.

Is there anything else that you would like to do, aside from modelling?

I was seriously pursuing a career in basketball, which is still a sport that I am really passionate about. I played in a couple of academies. I would have loved to have gone professional. But I got scouted at the same time as I was considering taking it seriously. Within a few weeks, I decided that I wanted to give modelling a go.

What do you do in your spare time?

I still play basketball very regularly. I also play the guitar. My brother’s girlfriend gifted me a guitar and I fell in love with it. I got an electric guitar too and love to just strum it in my room.

What are you working on now and next?

I am preparing to go to New York soon which has been a real dream of mine for ages. I’m really looking forward to it.
