Last year saw the successful launch of the first linen shirts collection from British shirtmaker Turnbull & Asser. This spring, the brand has chosen to expand on that initial offering with a new collection of striped linens.
Inspired by French workwear, the collection comprises of eight shirts in bold & fine strips in a strong summer palette of brick red, indigo and white with pops of turquoise and bright yellow. The eight shirts comes across three styles, all of which are designed to be worn on summer days and nights either home or abroad.
The Derby collar design has a softer interlining and is made to be worn with the top button undone, whilst the more relaxed Dorset button down features a chest pocket and 1 button cuff. An elegant collarless shirt completes the collection and each of the three styles has a neat 1 button cuff.
Created from the same fabric as the classic solid linen shirts of last year, the bolder stripes have been created out of the weaving process and results in a softer appearance. The 100% linen are woven in Italy at an esteemed cotton mill and then sent to the Turnbull & Asser workroom in Gloucester where the shirts are crafted by those with decades of experience.
Available now from £215 at Turnbull & Asser.
