The Chapar
The modern age and its various demands on our time, makes finding time for shopping, difficult. Of course there are those of us that do not enjoy the experience either - prams on the tube on a Saturday afternoon, a queue for the changing rooms and bustling crowds all of which can make the whole trip rather stressful.
Whilst we may not enjoy shopping, we do enjoy clothes that look and feel great. This is where The Chapar comes in. They offer a premium stylish service for men that eliminates the hassle that comes with the traditional retail experience. Its personal styling for the twenty first century.
The process is simple and rather pleasant. All you need to do is register online at TheChapar.com and a personal stylist will cal you at a convenient time. We had the pleasure of speaking with stylist Laura Haynes and we spent around fifteen minutes on the phone, talking through out tastes, style, budgets where we where wear the pieces and what we are generally looking for from our wardrobe.
The stylist then hand picks a selection of clothes (generally around twelve pieces) and these are sent to you at home or at work, in a convenient and trendy truck. The Chapar currently house brands including Sunspel, Orlebar Brown, Hackett, Farah and Ted Baker, which are all labels that have The Rakish Gent seal of approval.
You only pay for what you keep and both delivery and collection are free. If you choose to keep nothing, you simply have to arrange for the trunk to go back at a time that is convenient for you. Prices are the same as on the high street and without the fuss of having to go shopping, there really are no drawbacks.
We found the process to be pleasant, fun and a little exciting. Laura (and in fact the whole team) were sociable, personable and really listened to our requirements. The pieces that we were sent (all of which are showcased in this article) are exactly the sort of items that a rakish gent needs in his wardrobe.
