Being a gentleman in today’s world means being kind and respectful without expecting anything in return. It involves embracing old-school gestures like opening a door, planning thoughtful surprises for loved ones, showing gratitude, and honoring your commitments. It’s about leading with integrity and making others feel valued, no matter the circumstance.

Men today are embracing vulnerability, creativity, and individuality more than ever before. How do you interpret this shift, and where do you see yourself in this evolving narrative?

I’m not sure how widespread that is, as bro culture, misogyny, and patriarchal values still hold a strong influence over many young boys and men. However, I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by strong women—my mother, grandmothers, and other maternal figures—who’ve nurtured in me a deep appreciation for music, art, and all forms of expression. Because of them, I stay true to myself and am unafraid to show my emotions or lean into my creative and sensitive side.

Every rakish gent needs a suit that tells his story. What would the perfect Elias Becker suit look like, and what story would it tell?

Since I love generous proportions and bold prints in my everyday life, I prefer a more classic, tailored look when it comes to suits. A timeless fit in black cashmere/wool blend or deep purple or green velvet with subtle details, such as a bold lining or an unexpected accessory. The story feels a little unpredictable—a reminder that tradition and individuality can coexist, much like how I try to approach life.

What’s one ritual or habit in your daily life that keeps you grounded and focused, no matter the chaos?

I always make an effort to practice breathwork, do Navy SEAL push-ups, or revisit passages from The Power of Now. In a world full of distractions and with so many projects on my plate, these routines help center me and bring me into a calmer, more focused headspace.
