Sunspel launch bespoke T-shirt service

Sunspel has opened its new flagship store on Jermyn Street, and with it comes a unique experience for fashion enthusiasts: the Bespoke T-shirt service.

Known for their understated design and fabric innovation, the British brand has long been associated with timeless clothing, but this new offering provides customers the chance to create a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

The Bespoke T-shirt service, available exclusively at the Jermyn Street location, draws upon Sunspel’s long-standing tradition of crafting premium T-shirts, a heritage that dates back to the early 1900s. The process allows customers to collaborate in the creation of their own garment, selecting from the world’s finest fabrics. Each T-shirt is then custom-cut and tailored to exact specifications at Sunspel’s Long Eaton factory, where the brand has been based since 1937.

This bespoke service represents an extension of what Sunspel has already offered to notable clients, including celebrities and costume designers. For instance, the brand has created pieces for figures such as Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones and provided wardrobe essentials for Daniel Craig’s portrayal of James Bond. Now, this exclusive service is being made available to the general public.

At its core, the bespoke experience is designed to reflect the personal style and fit preferences of each customer. Unlike off-the-shelf options, every T-shirt is crafted with individual measurements and design preferences in mind, ensuring a custom piece that embodies the wearer’s personal touch. Sunspel’s renowned craftsmanship guarantees that each item meets the highest standards of quality, backed by generations of expertise in fabric innovation and garment production.

Sunspel’s new store is also a celebration of the brand’s rich history, featuring a unique exhibition space that showcases archival pieces. Visitors can explore artefacts from Sunspel’s long-standing tradition of fabric innovation, including early examples of their cellular mesh underwear and Sea Island cotton T-shirts.

The Jermyn Street store promises to become more than just a retail space—it aims to offer a personalised shopping experience with opportunities for personal styling appointments and future community events. In addition to housing the complete menswear collection, the store’s interior also features iconic British-designed furniture curated by twentytwentyone, further emphasizing Sunspel’s commitment to craftsmanship and quality.

Located at 23 Jermyn Street, Sunspel’s flagship store will officially open on September 21st, providing an opportunity for customers to immerse themselves in the brand’s heritage and explore the bespoke T-shirt service firsthand.
