Regent Street are celebrating London Design Festival with a new Landmark Project. One of only four Landmark Projects to be shown across the city, the installation, entitled Trace, will be suspended above Regent Street’s iconic curve and will be visible to the public from 15th – 23rd September 2018.

Created by Architecture Social Club, Trace is designed to draw the viewer’s attention to the power of the natural environment as it interacts with the built environment. Reacting to light and wind, the installation renders the invisible visible by harnessing the street’s wind power and changing colour over the course of the day and night, prompting the viewer to consider their own effects on the environments they inhabit. Inspired by Regent Street’s commitment to sustainability, its ripping movements and hypnotic rhythms create the sense of a living and breathing ecosystem – one that points towards a positive future where sustainable living and working is ubiquitous and beautiful.

Throughout London Design Festival, Regent Street will also play host to a number of events in collaboration with Anthropologie, Fortnum & Mason, E by Equinox and more.
