Panerai Luminor GMT Power Reserve Ceramica

At Miami Design Week 2024, Panerai reveals the Luminor GMT Power Reserve Ceramica PAM01674, a timepiece that marries tradition and innovation. Its all-black ceramic construction and refined design ethos are a tribute to Panerai’s legacy of blending functionality with Italian minimalism.

Crafted from advanced Zirconium Oxide-based ceramic, the PAM01674 is as durable as it is sleek, with a hardness five times greater than steel. The 44mm case and matching bracelet form a seamless monochromatic look, shaped through precision techniques like diamond wheel cutting and sandblasting. This engineering ensures the watch resists scratches, heat, and corrosion while exuding a modern edge.

Inside, the automatic P.9012 calibre drives the Luminor GMT’s multifaceted features: central hour, minute, and GMT hands, a small seconds display, a power reserve indicator at 5 o’clock, and a date window. Its three-day power reserve, achieved through two spring barrels, is a hallmark of Panerai’s proprietary movements. Notably, the GMT hand glows in vivid blue Super-LumiNova® X1, reflecting the watch’s dual-time functionality for global adventurers.

A matte black sandwich dial with grey luminescent indices offers a nod to Panerai’s naval roots, ensuring excellent readability even in low light. The updated bracelet, inspired by early 2000s designs, integrates cleanly with the case, enhancing the timepiece’s minimalist aesthetic.
