Way back in 1957, Omega a watch that would go on to become an absolute classic. The Seamaster 300, built for performance and function, is hands down, one of the most aesthetically pleasing investment timepieces that we have come across.

Specially designed for divers and for professionals that worked underwater, the watch was re-released in limiting edition in 2017 to celebrate its 60 year anniversary. It seems to be great timing to pay homage to the watch now, given the highlight on protection of the oceans and marine life. Just some of the features include the symmetrical case and lugs, dark dial, lighter indexes and big hands and numbers, making it easier to read in various light conditions. The Seamaster 300 is water resistant to 1000 feet. One year after its launch, the Seahorse became the symbol of the Seamaster, engraved on the casebook inspired by the gondolas of Venice. Whilst there are a number of models, on a variety of straps, it is the more vintage looking designs that stand out the most and are highly covetable.

The Seamaster 300 also has the accolade as being the watch of choice for James Bond. He may have had a dalliance with a Rolex in Dr No, but in Goldeneye and then Casino Royale, Bond opts for an Omega Seamaster. The military pedigree of the brand makes it a perfect fit, as does the technological innovations that make it special. As well as Mr. Bond, the watch was also spotted on the wrist of the Duke of Cambridge, so if you are able to get your hands on one, you will be in the very best company indeed.
