Officine Universelle Buly launch LES JARDINS FRANÇAIS
It was a hundred, small, handwritten boxes that contained seeds from a 19th century Swiss botanical school that led to a discovery and inspiration for a new fragrance launch.
The Officine has created a new collection of perfumes called Les Jardins Français. Inspired by a very old collection of seeds and seedlings, by the passion and curiosity of 18th and 19th century botanists, the series of scents “the French Gardens” brings back to life an intoxicating and unique palette of garden fragrances. In the style of the sumptuous gardens of André Le Nôtre where the garden gives birth to the sublime, “The French Garden” will transform the superb of nature into expertly refined and surprising scents.
To rediscover the scents’ true nature Officine Universelle Buly has invented the first water-based perfume for the skin. Miscible in a unique aqueous solution which doesn’t either stain, parch or unbalance the skin, the perfume can express itself fully. Speaking of the new launch, the Founder of the Officine, Victoire de Taillac says “Gardening means being outside in all weathers, with all your senses awakened. Rain, wind or sunshine enshroud you. The smells come together, mingle and surprise you. These vegetables take you by surprise. We know their tastes but we forget their fragrances.”
Within the six fragrance collection are completely unique and scents that will revitalise and lead you to consider vegetables in an entirely new and unfamiliar way. Andes Verbena and Ulu Basil features the enchanting green scent of Black Sea Basil, illuminated by a mysterious moonbeam powdered with white musk, combined with the powerful, lemony freshness of verbena and the roundness of cedar and mint. Completely different is Scandinavian Redcurrant and Peruvian Tomato which is a sunny scent that balances the fruit with delicate citrus notes.
From £144 for 75ml and available at Officine Universelle Buly.
