The home workout never had such a moment, and the living room is now doubling up as a workout space. Working out at home does not mean rolling out of bed, exercising and also working from home in your pyjamas though. Here’s what you need to be wearing when pondering which YouTube personal trainer you should be watching.

Start with a simple pair of dumbbells. We advocate the hexagonal Everlast weights at Sports Direct for ease, and to make you feel you are actually in the gym and not curling cans of beans. If yoga is more your thing, downward dog in luxury on this incredibly luxurious yoga mat from Ermenegildo Zegna at Mr Porter.

Turning to the clothes, fabrics that are designed to exercise in, and that are uncomplicated are key. Opt for simple black shorts from Nike and a vest like this one from Asos which comes in a variety of colours. For the feet, Allbirds has an impressive range of sneakers that are both functional and comfortable.
