Kaushik Velendra LFWM June 2020
Following on from our first look at Kaushik Velendra in January this year, the brand has just unveiled its first look at the new collection, revealed as part of the very first digital London Fashion Week.
Immediately gaining the interest of the fashion crowd due to the fusion of traditional tailoring and the latest innovations in technology and fabrications, the latest collection has been created in lockdown and evolves the debut offering. That evolution shows itself in the ten new accessory shoulder straps which were photographed following all of the recent guidance.
The mood for the new pieces came from what Velendra saw on the streets. The UK experienced the best of both worlds lately - complete isolation and glorious sunshine which led to an exploration of ideas in how to create pieces with little or no clothing underneath, how one size could fit all, and logistically, how a designer goes about creating a collection without any of the resources that they would normally be accustomed to.
The ten pieces, created custom-made by the designer can be made bespoke and made to fit various sizes. Shown here in white, they are also available in black, embroidered and further customised.
