Having sat around the house for the last three months, with little to do and a waning sense of purpose, the new collection for Spring 2021 from JW Anderson which combines a sense of cosiness with optimism, could not have come at a better time. 

Based on the young man, Anderson plays on ideas of playfulness, masculinity and childhood with exaggerated volumes, relaxed silhouettes and a sense of lived in comfort. Tailored pieces are slouchy, coats are exaggerated (perhaps to disguise a lockdown belly) and colours are fun, childish and optimistic. Pom-poms can’t help but make you smile.
