Filippa K AW18
The best menswear pieces are classic, core essentials that you can wear again and again. For autumn 2018, Filippa K created a collection of these, all with a understated and contemporary twist.
Taking the collection back to the brands Nineties roots, the new silhouette for the season is looser and more fluid than ever before, with the introduction of slouchy pleat trousers, unlined soft blazers and roomy coats. The new ‘Luke’ coat is made from a light cashmere blend, voluminously cut for an exclusive yet relaxed appearance. The wide lapelled, double breasted ’Hardy’ coat looks ruggedly masculine, loosely layered over a washed shirt and ribbed knit, all in tones of grey.
Fabrics utilised are strong and gentlemanly - herringbone wool and chunky tweeds, add an old-school vibe while the suits have a decidedly modern, smart-casual expression, looking equally relevant with a T-shirt and sneakers as with a crisp shirt and classic lace-ups.
Colours are equally timeless. Black features heavily along with navy and tones of grey, beige and white as a base, to which deep spruce green adds a seasonal twist. The collection embraces an understated and effortless elegance that’s characteristically Scandinavian.
