Filippa K pre-fall 2019

Inspired by classic masculinity of the 1930s (think Errol Flynn) the new pre-fall collection from Filippa K looks to catch the sunlight and make the summer last all evening, with its modern and casual street vibe.

Drapey silhouettes (v. rakish) are effortlessly elegant like a loose top tucked into a high-waisted trouser or a light and breezy matching linen suit. A tactile range of textured fabrics (for example, a cotton-silk-linen mix or a dense Japanese jersey) are the foundation for a fresh colour palette: quintessential blues and greys act as the foundation for pops of dusty pink Melrose and apricot orange Bellini.

Building on the brand’s Scandinavian simplicity to redefine iconic wardrobe pieces, a pilot jacket with a summery feel nods to the classic bomber in a cotton-linen mix with zip details, a wide collar, shoulder straps and oversized pockets. That summer classic, the Hawaiian shirt features leaves such as oak and maple, with the same print appearing across swimwear and a summer silk scarf.
