Farah AW18
Music is at the heart of the autumn collection from Farah, with inspiration drawn specifically from Creation Records - the independent record label that was home to artists like Primal Scream, The Jesus & Mary Chain and Oasis.
Borrowing from the DIY attitude of the record label, founded on the basis that great music can be created from very little, the collection looks back at that time with its charity shops x flea market vibes, assorted duffle coats and cords and V-neck sweats. Much of Farah’s autumn collection looks like it could be picked right out of the mid Nineties with the eclectic styling and indie attitude.
The colours for the season are drawn from Creation Records’ in house artist Paul Cannell whose abstract work was the base of Primal Scream’s album covers. Those shades, as seen in the collection include rust, dark teal and primal red against blue, military green and earthy browns.
New for autumn, Farah launch the long sleeve pop over, but it is the trucker jacket and corduroy pieces that we are most fond of.
