Exhibit: Michael Leonard
A new exhibit from Henry Miller displays the beautiful work of Michael Leonard, including drawings and paintings from the 1960s to the present day.
The pieces are part of Leonard’s first London exhibition in 15 years and includes rare examples of commercial work from the Sixties, early paintings from the Seventies with portraits and nudes from the Eighties too.
Iconic works including Passage of Arms (1979) and Changing (1981) are also on display.
Sober and low key, Leonard is well known for his incredibly realistic and beautiful male nudes, with models often on the move or in a state of transition, dressing or undressing. Almost all of the paintings are based on pencil drawings, which are also displayed within the exhibition.
From now to 27 October 2018 at Coningsby Gallery, 30 Tottenham Street, London W1T 4RJ. Free.
