ECCO.kollektive Collaborates with Louis-Gabriel Nouchi
For its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, ECCO.kollektive has teamed up with rising French designer Louis-Gabriel Nouchi, inviting him to reimagine footwear, accessories, and ready-to-wear through the lens of his signature style. The collaboration debuted at Paris Fashion Week, where Nouchi brought his exploration of the human body to life, balancing sensuality and technical precision.
Nouchi draws inspiration from the textures of the human form, echoing its fluidity and strength in high-shine, polished leathers. A strictly monochromatic palette of black, oxblood, and pearlescent white sets the tone for a collection that challenges gender norms with effortless elegance. The designer’s signature slit motif runs throughout, from ready-to-wear separates to accessories, creating moments of subtle reveal-and-conceal.
On the footwear front, unisex Derby shoes and Helsinki loafers recall the minimalism of the ’90s, with squared toes and thickened soles derived from ECCO’s archives. The Truck Lace loafers introduce a futuristic edge, featuring sleek, car-inspired lines atop a custom platform. Each piece highlights ECCO’s mastery of leather innovation, offering unexpectedly lightweight designs without compromising on substance.
The ready-to-wear offering amplifies this interplay of contrasts. Tailored biker nappa separates—blazers, trousers, and long-line shorts—are finished with a waxy sheen, balancing structure and softness. Leather strips embroidered onto bi-stretch tulle elevate fluid silhouettes like column dresses, tanks, and pencil skirts, blending the robust with the ethereal.
This collaboration captures ECCO.kollektive’s ethos of merging cutting-edge craftsmanship with creative ingenuity, showcasing Nouchi’s distinctive ability to combine sensuality, refinement, and technical innovation.
