One of Patrick Grant’s greatest skills is constantly being able to deliver what his E Tautz customers really want, with each season being an evolution of the last.

Sustainability, a word that is now much more than just a buzzword than it once was, and seen as ever ever more necessary consideration for designers was high on the agenda for the autumn collection. 50% of this collection was made from repurposed fabrics, largely provided by Astco, an industrial recycler.

Showcasing a fondness for collaboration and utilising the skills of students, denim and shirting was assisted by Norton & Sons and students at the Royal College of Needlework executed darning and patching. The results of these collabs appeared via irregular check patterns on outerwear, herringbone patches on checked suits and different washed denim on denim. In our view, it added a roughness and wearability to the tailoring, making a welcome, fresh take on suiting, appropriate for the season.

Offering all of the essential components of a twenty first century man’s wardrobe, this was elegant and refined menswear at its very best. As ever, silhouettes were exaggerated and easy to wear. Luxury is a key consideration for the E Tautz customer and there are few brands that offer a grown-up, school boy look in quite the same way.

The quality is always superb and the attention to detail, unparalleled. Understanding that men need to wear their clothes more than once (no matter how luxurious they are) a whole host of these looks could have been worn head to toe, straight off the runway, whilst equally offering a wearer a load of choices to mix.
