Ben Sherman x House of Holland AW18

For autumn 2018 Ben Sherman has managed to produce a collection that is full of youthfulness and that also goes back to the very roots of the brand.

Collaborating on a number of pieces with Emerging Designer of the Year, Henry Holland the catwalk show was a celebration of the rebellious spirit of the youth of England.

The show started with a brilliant dance performance as soul music from the 70s’ based through the rooms of a gallery space at Somerset House. Dancers dramatically spun, split and high wicked under dramatic spotlights before models took to the catwalk. When they did, they were wearing pieces that will appeal to a broad spectrum of men today.

Autumn shades dominated the collection with dark brown, camel, navy blue, deep red and grey all dominating. Retro nods like side stripes on trousers, badges on sweatshirts and slogans on slim tops will draw younger men to the fore while the more rakish gent will be digging the suiting, outerwear and luggage. The Henry Holland pieces (7 unisex designs) made perfect sense. Quirky brands, bold but not ostentatious on track pants and matching zip-ups are perfect for that wear anywhere feeling.
