It has been ten years since Astrid Andersen launched her label. In that time she has developed a reputation for premium casualwear with a luxury sports aesthetic that does not compromise on quality. Her clothes are easily identifiable and many of the pieces within the autumn collection could easily have come from your wardrobe circa 2010.

Andersen took the ten year anniversary as good cause to look back. A Seventies rose printed sofa; a piece of furniture purchased by the designers mother when she first left home at the age of 18 in 1971 was a major source of inspiration, with a distorted version of that floral print featuring heavily throughout. The strong print upped the luxury factor on signature tracksuits, which have become an essential component of brands DNA. That signature print was largely delivered amidst khaki and grey backdrop on everything from puffer jackets, boiler suits, shirts and balaclavas, but worked best when combined with striking orange.

Paying homage to the Seventies and the time of that sofa, models donned flamboyant, full length fur coats whilst strutting down the catwalk to disco fused with hip-hop, which added a welcome sense of ease and playfulness which had been missing from previous seasons.
